Support our GHS volleyball team and help fight Type 1 diabetes!
Join us on Wednesday, September 18 for an exciting evening as our volleyball teams take on Orion. Freshman & Sophomore starts at 5 p.m. and Varsity begins at 6 p.m. This event is not just about the games—it's also a chance to raise crucial funds for Breakthrough T1D which funds Type 1 diabetes research. The night will feature a bake sale with delicious treats to support the cause and a 50/50 raffle with a chance to win and contribute to research. Come out, cheer on the team, and support this important cause. Every purchase and donation helps fund vital research to improve the lives of those affected by Type 1 diabetes. Let’s make this a memorable night for both the team and a worthy cause!
Down to Earth on Oct. 17, 19 and 20
The fall play this year is “Down to Earth,” a comedy in which two full-fledged angels descend to earth to pick up two elderly souls. One is a tyrannical and miserly old lady who has amassed a fortune and is still looking for a way to take it with her - or she's not going. The other is an old man with nothing but his love for his cat and his flowers to cheer him up, and who is fully resigned to going. Tagging along with the two angels is a one-winged apprentice who is a master of mischief with a lot of heart. He has a knack for making people fall in love - including one very unlikely pair, the two old folks the angels have come to collect!
Performances will be on Thursday, October 17 at 7 p.m., Saturday, October 19 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 20 at 3 p.m. Tickets will only be available at the door for $10 each. “Down to Earth” is an original play written by Bettye Knapp and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French (samuelfrench.com).
