The Geneseo Community Unit School District #228’s Board of Education has a vacancy to fill.
Per District Policy 2:70, applications to fill the vacancy will be accepted by emailing a brief cover letter and/or résumé to 228BOE@geneseoschools.org or dropping them off at the unit office, located at 648 North Chicago Street.
The term for the position will end in April of 2025, at which time an election will be held to fill it and the other expiring terms.

The deadline for individuals to share their interest in filling the Board of Education vacancy is Wednesday, June 21 at 5 p.m.
After reviewing the applications, the Board of Education may invite prospective candidates for personal interviews to be conducted during duly scheduled closed meetings in accordance with Illinois School Code.
