Geneseo High School celebrated 15 students who signed collegiate letters of intent on Monday and Tuesday.
"We are incredibly proud of our students who have signed their letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level,” said Joe Nichols, Athletic Director. “Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance both on the field and in the classroom have truly paid off.”
Female student-athletes include:
Rachel Bauer (cheerleading) will attend St. Ambrose University and is the daughter of Joe Bauer and Stephanie Casey.
Mady Buysse (softball) will attend Indian Hills Community College and is the daughter of Kendra and Jerry Shook.
Bella Curcuru (wrestling) will attend Elmhurst University and is the daughter of Jillian and Marc Curcuru.
Erica DeDecker (hockey) will attend Aurora University and is the daughter of Todd DeDecker and Janna Miller-DeDecker.
Emma Drockelman (cheerleading) will attend St. Ambrose University and is the daughter of Allison and Derek Drockelman.
Kaylee Floming (shot put & discus) will attend Carthage College and is the daughter of Brian and Suzanna Floming.
Lily Johnson (cheerleading) will attend Carthage College and is the daughter of Alison Johnson.
Avery Kennedy (softball) will attend Rock Valley College and is the daughter of Josh and Jillian Kennedy.
Aislan Leetch (wrestling) will attend Augustana College and is the daughter of Sarah Leetch.
Kyah Newell (softball) will attend St. Ambrose University and is the daughter of Tara and Pat Newell.
Olivia Seei (golf) will attend Carl Sandburg College and is the daughter of John and Heather Seei.
Kailee Williams (volleyball) will attend Sauk Valley Community College and is the daughter of Jim and Kelli Williams.
Male student-athletes include:
Anthony Carter (cheerleading) will attend Missouri Valley College and is the son of Kelly Attwood and Bobby Carter.
Owen Parker (basketball) will attend Wartburg College and is the son of Wesley and Barbara Parker.
Cooper Ries (baseball) will attend Joliet Junior College and is the son of Jim and Martha Ries.
“The opportunity to compete at the collegiate level is a huge achievement, and a testament not only to their abilities, but also to the support of their families, coaches, and teammates,” said Nichols. “We look forward to watching them succeed in this next exciting chapter of their journey."
