After 31 years of harmonizing with the students of Geneseo High School, choir conductor Stephen LaCroix is receiving a heartfelt standing ovation from his students.
In recognition of his final year before retirement, LaCroix has been named a recipient of the WQAD News 8's "My Favorite Teacher" award.
The honor comes as a tribute from his current and former students, who sought to celebrate his three-decade legacy of musical excellence and mentorship.
