Be The Match:

“Be The Match" needs your help--Every year, 12,000 patients are diagnosed with life- threatening blood cancers or diseases like sickle cell for which a blood stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor may be their only chance at a cure. Please consider attending the Seth Ernst Soccer Slam this weekend and participate in the “Be the Match” campaign. This is a way to register to be a match for much needed bone marrow. A “Be the Match” booth will be set up at the tournament this Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm. Participants are simply asked to swab their cheek and you will be registered in a bone marrow match registry.

Blood Drive:

Would you like to save a life, or better yet, save three?  Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives?  The Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 14, in the big gym.  Sign up now with any Student Council member.  Donors are asked to use the QR code and schedule their preferred time to donate.  16 year old donors are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  For further information check out the signs posted around school or see Mrs. Laingen or Mrs. Brewer.
