St. Ambrose Visit:

On Wednesday, March 8th, St Ambrose will be visiting Geneseo High School during WIN. If you are interested in meeting with St. Ambrose please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place. 

 

Western Illinois Visit Today:

Western Illinois University will be visiting Geneseo High School today during WIN. Please remember to sign up before the visit in the Counseling Office.

 

Attention ALL Sophomores and Juniors:

If you want to be a Link Crew Leader for next school year, and missed the meeting last week, there is still time!  Please stop by Mrs. Snook's door OR Mrs. Degarmo's door and scan the QR code for the application.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Snook or Mrs. Degarmo! 

 

Art Show:

On Thursday, March 9 Geneseo High School will be hosting the annual Henry & Stark County Art Show. Each year, the juried art show rotates between high schools in the two counties and this year it will take place in the gymnasium of Geneseo High School. The show will be open to the public from 6-7 p.m. with a judges' critique around 6:15 p.m. where they will go through the first place winners of each category as well as the Best of Show. 


Writer’s Club:

The Writer’s Club will be having our monthly meeting this week. If you enjoy writing outside of class time for any reason and you would like a place to share that work, please meet with us after school on Wednesday March 8 in Room 4 from 3:10- 4:00 pm. We hope to see you there!


U.S. Army Visit:

On Tuesday, March 7th, The US Army will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th hour. If you are interested in meeting with The Army please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place. 

 

Blood Drive: 

Would you like to save a life, or better yet, save three?  Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives?  The Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 14, in the big gym.  Sign up now with any Student Council member.  Donors are asked to use the QR code and schedule their preferred time to donate.  16 year old donors are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  For further information check out the signs posted around school or see Mrs. Laingen or Mrs. Brewer.


Special Olympics:

Vote for the staff or administrator you would like to see get a bucket of ice cold water dumped on their heads. Students and staff can vote by donating money to designated cans for each staff member or administrator.  The staff (or 2) with the most money will receive the ice cold shower. Cans will be set up in the cafeteria during lunch February 27-March 8th. Come to the track during WIN on March 9th to see the winner.  All proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics.
