Blood Drive: 

Would you like to save a life, or better yet, save three?  Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives?  The Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 14, in the big gym.  Sign up now with any Student Council member.  Donors are asked to use the QR code and schedule their preferred time to donate.  16 year old donors are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  For further information check out the signs posted around school or see Mrs. Laingen or Mrs. Brewer.

 

Attention ALL Sophomores and Juniors:

If you want to be a Link Crew Leader for next school year, and missed the meeting last week, there is still time!  Please stop by Mrs. Snook's door OR Mrs. Degarmo's door and scan the QR code for the application.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Snook or Mrs. Degarmo!  Applications are due by 3:00 p.m. today.  No late applications will be accepted. 

 

Mindfulness Thursday for Seniors Today:

Today Seniors have the opportunity for some mindfulness.  Your choices are Adult Coloring in the Main Gym (limited to 50 students), Breathing, Yoga, & Mindfulness in the DePauw Theatre, or Wellness & Music in the GFAC.  Please report to your WIN teacher first and then head to one of the three locations and sign in. 


Polar Plunge Update:

Due to the forecasted weather, the Polar Plunge will be moved to Monday, March 13th during WIN period.  There is only a $4 difference between the top 3 staff members! Today (Thursday) is the LAST day so make sure to vote for who you would like to see freeze on Monday during WIN period!   


Congratulations to Abby Frank: 

A HUGE congratulations to Abby Frank on winning her Proficiency area in Vegetable Production where she will be moving on to State on March 25th in Champaign!

 

Attention Trap Team Members:

All Trap Team members need to see Ms. Lock during WIN with an update on upcoming events if you can't during WIN see Ms. Lock before or after school.


Environmental Club Meeting:

Environmental Club will be meeting BEFORE school at 7:30 a.m. on March 14th in Room 39. 


Student Survey:

Students, a survey was emailed to you to gain feedback from our recent job fair and career expo. Please take five minutes sometime this week to give us feedback on your experience. Thank you.


Aviation Club:

On Sunday, March 12 at 1:00 p.m. the Aviation Club will be traveling to Walnut, IL to tour a crop dusting facility and learn about careers in the crop dusting industry. Any interested student should stop by this week and get a permission slip from Mr. Bess. 

 

Art Show:

On Thursday, March 9 Geneseo High School will be hosting the annual Henry & Stark County Art Show. Each year, the juried art show rotates between high schools in the two counties and this year it will take place in the gymnasium of Geneseo High School. The show will be open to the public from 6-7 p.m. with a judges' critique around 6:15 p.m. where they will go through the first place winners of each category as well as the Best of Show.
