Homecoming Discipline Reminder:

To attend the Homecoming dance you must have all your past due discipline served.  You may serve detentions from 7:25 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. in room 13 with Ms. Anderson or from 3:05 p.m. to 3:35 p.m. in room 14 with Ms. Schnowske.

 

Homecoming Ticket Sales:

The Hollywood Homecoming Dance is this Saturday, September 30th from 7:30-10:30 in the big gym. All tickets are $10 and can be purchased this week thru Wednesday during 6th and 7th hours and before and after school. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Don’t miss this star-studded evening!!

 

Homecoming Spirit Dress Up Days:

The Wednesday, September 27th dress up day is Barbie vs. Ken.  Join in on the Hollywood Homecoming fun!!  Students must stay within the school dress code.

Wednesday, Sept. 27 – Barbie vs. Ken Day

Thursday, Sept. 28 – Teen Beach Movie- Hawaiian Day

Friday, Sept. 29 – Spirit Day, Green/White, Team - Club Day.

Homecoming Election Ballots:

Please take the time to cast your vote for this year’s Homecoming Court. Ballots will close at 3:00 today.

 

Float Face-Off:

Float Face-Off is this Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. at Richmond Hill. Come help build your class’s float! There will be music & pizza throughout the night for float-builders. Come for an hour or stay all evening! See you there!


University of Northern Iowa College Visit:

On Thursday, September 28th, the University of Northern Iowa will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th hour. If you are interested in meeting with UNI, please visit the counseling office for more details and to sign up.  You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place. 


Picture Retakes:

Picture Retakes will be October 6th during lunch in the Library Lobby loft for freshmen, sophomore, and junior students.  Seniors will need to schedule an appointment with Photographic Arts if they want retakes. 


October Study Hall Release for Juniors and Seniors:

Study Hall release will start on Monday, October 2nd.  Students will receive ineligibility notices on Thursday, September 28th and Friday, September 29th.  In order to be eligible for Junior and Senior Study Hall release you must clear the following obligations: 

- Grades of D+ or higher in all classes

- No 2nd Semester 2023 failed classes

- No unpaid library fines

- No unserved discipline

- Students who have 6th period Study Hall and a 7th period class are not eligible for Study Hall release.
