Silver Cord Volunteer Babysitting Dates:
GHS is hosting Pre-School Family Nights from 5-7 p.m. on November 15th, December 12th, February 8th, and April 15th. Any students wishing to volunteer helping young children with activities and games is encouraged to sign up in the Front Office. Students will be able to earn Silver Cord hours. Please sign up in the Front Office.
University of Northern Iowa College Visit:
The University of Northern Iowa will be visiting Geneseo High School on Monday, November 13th during 6th period. Please visit the counseling office to sign up.
Navy Visit:
The Navy will be visiting Geneseo High School on Tuesday, November 14th during 6th period. Please visit the counseling office to sign up.
Aviation Club:
There will be an Aviation Club meeting this weekend at the Geneseo Airport. We will be having Young Eagle Flights as well as discussing Winter plans as well. Flights will start at 1:00 p.m. Please add your name to the sheet in the Aviation Club Classroom or see Mr. Bess to get signed up.
Gray Matters:
The Gray Matters is looking for new leaders! If you are interested in becoming a leader of the Gray Matters, please fill out an application located in Mrs. Davidson's room 10. We would love to have you!
Boys Volleyball Game and Toy Drive:
All students are invited to come watch some great Volleyball action as the Junior Boys team takes on the Senior Boys team in the Annual Boys Volleyball Game/Toy Drive. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. tonight with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the event is a new unwrapped toy. All donations will go to support Foster Hope. Monetary donations can also be made at the door. Put a little hope into the upcoming holiday season for foster children and their families. The entire community is welcome to attend, students, parents and younger siblings.
Red, White, & Blue on Friday:
This is a reminder to wear red, white, and blue on Friday to support and honor US Veterans!
Aisle of Flags:
Are you looking for more Silver Cord hours? We are in need of students to help put out Flags at City Park for Veterans Day. Veterans Day is Saturday, November 11. Flags go up at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and come down at 2:00 p.m. Many volunteers are needed. Sign up in the GHS Front Office if you would like to volunteer for Aisle of Flags.
