CRUSH Cans:

Do you have a secret CRUSH?  Send someone a can of CRUSH pop anonymously for Valentine’s Day.  Buy a can of CRUSH pop from any Student Council member for $1, and your secret crush can return the can to find out who sent it for 50 cents.  Don’t miss out on the Valentine’s Day fun. 

 

Singing Telegrams:

Send a Singing Telegram to that special someone or send one to a friend.  Student Council members are now selling Singing Telegrams for $5.  The song and a flower will be delivered on Wednesday, February 14.  Don’t miss out on this special Valentine’s tradition. 

 

Maker’s Club:

Attention Crafters - Due to a schedule conflict, there will not be a Maker’s Club meeting this afternoon. Check-in with Google Classroom to see an updated date!


 Parking:

Sophomore, Junior, & Senior students parking in student parking areas, please remember the following parking guidelines.

West lot parking is from the 2nd row back, the entire first row is limited to staff parking only.

Facility lot parking is available for students with the exception of the 5 spaces which face North/South as you enter the lot.

Officer Steines has begun to check the lots and has observed many students parking in unauthorized locations.  Please check in the AP office if you are unsure of student parking locations.

Student parking is still available and may be purchased on Wednesday from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m., at the end of your school day.  Please note, you may not leave class or Study Hall to purchase parking.

 

Blood Drive Sign-Up:

Sign up to save a life, or better yet, save three.  Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives?  The annual blood drive will be held on Thursday, February 29, in the big gym.  Sign up now with any Student Council member.  Donors are asked to sign-up with the QR code and choose their own appointment time. 16-year-olds are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  For further information see Mrs. Laingen or Mrs. Brewer.


Musical Meeting:

There will be an information meeting for this year’s Spring Musical - “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” on Tuesday, January 30 from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. in the DePauw Theartre.  All students interested in auditioning to be in the cast, wanting to work back stage, or wanting to be in the orchestra for this show, should plan to attend.  Auditions for the cast will be on Tuesday, February 6 beginning at 3:15 p.m. and will go until finished.  Auditions will be in the DePauw Theatre.  Information for the auditions will be given at the information meeting.

Soccer Slam Registration:

Silver Cord Opportunity:

The Scholastic Bowl is looking for student volunteers to help time and keep score for three matches from 3:00-6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 29.  You could earn silver cord hours and cheer on your fellow classmates. Please contact Mrs. Brossman or Mrs. Young today if you are interested.
