Character Crush February:

It's Character Crush February in the GHS Library. We are looking for students to nominate their favorite book character crushes by February 14th. After that we will take all the nominations and students can vote for their overall favorites. There will be raffle prizes involved for those who participate. Stop by the library for details.


Musical:

Anyone interested in this year’s musical but missed Tuesday’s meeting can get information from Mr. Lord.


February Study Hall Release for Juniors and Seniors:

Study Hall release will start on Monday, February 5th.  Students will receive ineligibility notices on Wednesday, January 31st.  In order to be eligible for Junior and Senior Study Hall release you must clear the following obligations: 

- Grades of D+ or higher in all classes

- No 1st Semester 2023 failed classes

- No unpaid library fines

- No unserved discipline

- Students who have 6th period Study Hall and a 7th period class are not eligible for Study Hall release. 


Senior Night Friday:

Senior Night AND Autograph Night for Boys Basketball, Maplettes, Pep Band and Cheerleaders is this Friday, February 2.  The Sophomore game starts at 5:30 and the Varsity starts at 7:00.  See you in the Main Gym!!

 

Selecting Courses Date Change:

Attention Students:  Due to all the snow days we have bumped the dates for selecting courses back.  Skyward will open on Monday, February 5th at 8:00 a.m. and close on Friday, February 9th at 3:00 p.m.


NTHS:

All NTHS Applicants: Please check your school email. If you met the requirements for NTHS, you will have an email from Mrs. Litton with your next steps. Please check and complete the next steps in a timely manner. Feel free to email or stop by room 20 if you have any questions.


CRUSH Cans:

Do you have a secret CRUSH?  Send someone a can of CRUSH pop anonymously for Valentine’s Day.  Buy a can of CRUSH pop from any Student Council member for $1, and your secret crush can return the can to find out who sent it for 50 cents.  Don’t miss out on the Valentine’s Day fun. 

 

Singing Telegrams:

Send a Singing Telegram to that special someone or send one to a friend.  Student Council members are now selling Singing Telegrams for $5.  The song and a flower will be delivered on Wednesday, February 14.  Don’t miss out on this special Valentine’s tradition. 

 

Blood Drive Sign-Up:

Sign up to save a life, or better yet, save three.  Did you know that each blood donation saves three lives?  The annual blood drive will be held on Thursday, February 29, in the big gym.  Sign up now with any Student Council member.  Donors are asked to sign-up with the QR code and choose their own appointment time. 16-year-olds are required to have a signed parent consent slip from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  For further information see Mrs. Laingen or Mrs. Brewer.


Soccer Slam Registration:
