Anything But A Backpack Day:
On Thursday, May 15 it will be “Anything But a Backpack Day” at GHS. "Anything But a Backpack Day" is a playful and creative event typically held in schools where students are encouraged to bring their school supplies in anything other than a traditional backpack. Participants come up with inventive and often humorous alternatives to backpacks, such as: laundry baskets, suitcases, shopping carts, toolboxes, pet carriers, coolers, etc. The goal is to think outside the box and have fun!
Here are the guidelines:
1- Size and Weight: Items should not be too large or heavy to ensure students can carry them safely and navigate hallways without causing obstruction or accidents.
2- Stability: Choose items that are stable and unlikely to tip over or spill contents.
3- No Offensive or Inappropriate Items: Avoid items with offensive language, images, or that promote inappropriate behavior.
4- No Humans that are not GHS students can be brought in for the day and no pets allowed.
If students are unsure of something- ask a teacher or GHS admin for approval.
