Coffee Corner:

Coffee Corner is back starting this coming Wednesday. This year we will be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:35-7:50. Come check us out at our new spot located by the Library Lobby. All drinks are $2.00. 

Junior/Senior Study Hall Release:

Study hall release will begin on Tuesday, September 2nd. Students who are required to stay will receive notices. If you do not receive a notice, you do not have to report to study hall. Please check the announcement board outside the front office for more info. 

 

Attention Early Bird Students:

Today all Early Bird students need to report to the Theatre for WIN after checking in with your WIN teacher.  Make sure you check in with your WIN teacher first for attendance. 

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Harold Neumann Project:

The Harold Neumann Project will be co-hosting an event at the Geneseo Museum for Trains, Planes & Automobiles on September 6th.  We need people to sign up on Friday the 5th after school to help set up behind the museum.  On Saturday the 6th we need people to help at individual games with kids and to give out prizes any time between 10-2.  We will need cleanup people from 2-3:30 as well.  We would appreciate anyone that would like to help out!  Please text or call Paula at 309-945-5591.

 

SLAP Meeting:

Do you like reading? Do you love to share your opinions about books? Then Mrs. Brucher invites you to join the Student Library Advisory Panel (also known as SLAP). They meet the first Tuesday of the month in the library before school, so stop in between 7:35 and 7:55 on Tuesday, September 2 to find out more about this club.

 

US Army Visit:

The US Army will be visiting Geneseo High School today during 7th period. Please remember to sign up before the visit in the Counseling Office.

 

Environmental Club:

The GHS Environmental Club will meet on Tuesday mornings before school in Room 30. Please join us.

 

Join Student Council:

Join Student Council and make a difference in our school.  To become a member, simply fill out a membership petition and secure 25 signatures. Petitions may be picked up from Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or Mrs. Brewer in Room 26. Student Council meets every Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Theatre. Don’t miss out on the many Student Leadership Opportunities.

 

Class Officer Petitions Available:

Attention Freshman: Would you like to be your Class President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer for the 2025-26 school year? Class Officer petitions are now available.  Pick one up from Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or Mrs. Brewer in Room 26. All petitions need 25 signatures, a signed contract, and must be returned by Tuesday, September 2.  Candidates will be placed on a ballot for a class election.  Class officers are members of the Student Council and are expected to fulfill all membership duties.

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Park District:

There is a list of upcoming volunteer opportunities at the Park District posted on the Announcements bulletin board in the main hallway.  Hours, position details and contact information is included.
