We are thrilled to share that 31 Geneseo High School students have been selected for the Illinois Music Education Association District 2 Senior Band and Orchestra Festival!
An incredible accomplishment for all involved, these students earned their places through challenging auditions that tested their skill, tone, and musicianship. Their selection means they will perform alongside some of the most talented high school musicians from across Illinois.
ILMEA is the leading organization that celebrates and develops student musicians through high-level performances and learning opportunities.
To our 31 honorees (see the full list below), your dedication, long hours of practice, and love for music truly shine. You continue to inspire all of us with your commitment to excellence and the pride you bring to Geneseo.
Congratulations are also in order for 14 Geneseo Middle School students (full list below) who auditioned for and were selected for the ILMEA District 2 Junior Band!
This year, the ILMEA District 2 Senior Band and Chorus Festival will take place November 8 at Augustana College in Rock Island, and the Senior Orchestra Festival is also on November 8 at Moline High School. Learn more at ILMEA.org.
