STRIVE Meeting:
All students that were invited to the STRIVE scholarship meetings, we have a meeting today during WIN in the Theatre. If you did not come to the first meeting, you are still able to attend! If you have any questions, reach out to Mrs. Lavine in the Counseling Office.
Journalism Club:
Are you interested in writing, photography, or sharing stories from around our school? Join the brand-new Journalism Club, where we’ll be creating a monthly school newspaper! Our first meeting will be Thursday, October 23rd after school in Mrs. Ritchie’s Room 1. Come sign up and get more information about how you can be part of the team. Don’t miss this chance to help tell our school’s story!
Softball Meeting:
If you are interested in playing high school softball in the spring, we will have an informational meeting on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm at the Clubhouse at JFE to go over off season opportunities. If you have questions, please contact Coach Johnson at jjohnson@geneseoschools.org
JV Scholastic Bowl Practice:
JV Scholastic Bowl practice will be today at 3:10 pm in Room 45. We will be done before 4:00 pm. Communicate with Mrs. Young if you cannot be there.
Iowa State University Visit:
Iowa State University will be visiting Geneseo High School today during 7th period. Please remember to sign up before the visit in the Counseling Office.
University of Illinois Visit:
On Wednesday, October 22nd, the University of Illinois will be visiting Geneseo High School during 7th period. If you are interested in meeting with the University of Illinois, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
US Army & University of Chicago Visit:
On Thursday, October 23rd, the US Army will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period and the University of Chicago during 7th period. If you are interested in meeting with the US Army or the University of Chicago, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Silver Cord Opportunity – Food Pantry:
Looking for a place to complete Silver Cord hours? The Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry is in need of volunteers on Monday evenings, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Please contact Nicole at the Food Pantry, 309-944-3165 or email: geneseopantry1@gmail.com

The Henry County Humane Society is looking for volunteers! Earn Silver Cord hours while helping animals in need. Applications are available in the Front Office.
