Boys Volleyball Game – Toy Drive:
Come on out Wednesday night, November 19 at 8:00 pm to support Foster Hope. The Student Council is hosting the Annual Boys Volleyball Game--Toy Drive. Teams of Juniors vs. Seniors will compete in a Boys Volleyball Game. Bring a new toy for admission or a cash donation. The games will take place in the main gym, with drawings for prizes in between sets. This is a fun night you won’t want to miss, come support this great organization!!
Trades Interest Group:
Join us for Trades Interest Group Friday during WIN in the Concert Hall. Each Friday this group has speakers from local companies talk about their positions and programs. This week will be led by Heritage Tractor. See Mrs. Lavine in the counseling office if you would like to sign up. All grades are welcome.
Food Drive:
Who wants some donuts? Canned goods or non-perishable food items are due tomorrow. Good Luck and may the BEST 1st hour win!!!
Change for a Change:
Attention all students: Did you know that last year alone, more than a million people - mostly small children - died from waterborne disease? This week, the Spanish 3 students are collecting spare change to donate to Healing Waters International. They hope to collect change to make a change. Please donate your spare change this week and help save lives! Spanish 3 students will be carrying empty water jugs to collect your change. If you cannot find a Spanish 3 student, feel free to stop by room 3 to drop off your change. Thank you!
AP Exam Opt-Out/Drop:
If you are in an AP course and plan to drop at semester or opt-out of the AP exam, you will need to let Mrs. Lavine or your AP teacher know by this Friday, November 14th to avoid getting a $40 testing fee. If you have any questions, please ask your AP teacher or Mrs. Lavine in the counseling office.
Silver Cord Opportunity – Operation Christmas Child:
GHS students are invited to earn silver cord hours at an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Packing Party. Volunteers will be packing items into shoeboxes that will be sent around the world to share hope with children. It will be held at Kingswood Church (formerly First Methodist) on Friday, November 14, from 4-8pm, and Saturday, November 15, from 9am-2pm. Drop by anytime. It will be held in the south campus building, which is located across the parking lot from the church. Please bring your silver cord timesheet.
Silver Cord Opportunity – Food Pantry:
