FFA Week:

It’s Hat Week for FFA Week! Students wearing hats should pay $1 during 1st hour to support the Illinois Foundation FFA and receive today’s yellow sticker.  Pie a Teacher or Officer tickets will be on sale tomorrow and Wednesday before school — $1 each!  Need some PAWsitivity tomorrow morning? Join us in the Library Lobby starting at 7:15 AM for therapy dogs and some stress relief!

 

Attention NHS, NTHS, & AP Scholars:

Academic Scholar Night practice will take place in the Concert Hall today during 7th period.  Do not go to your 7th period class, go immediately to the Concert Hall.  All current and new members of NHS, NTHS,  & AP Scholars are expected to be at practice.  Students that have speaking roles or playing music that night will also be practicing 6th period.  If you have a speaking role or are playing music do not go to your 6th period class, go immediately to the Concert Hall.  

 

Foreign Language Club:

On Wednesday, February 25, we will have a presentation on Peru, given by Mrs. Lindberg. Come see how amazing Peru is! Hope to see you there!

 

Junior and Senior March Study Hall Release:

Junior and Senior March Study Hall release will begin on Monday, March 2nd. Students who are required to stay will begin receiving notices Thursday, February 26th & Friday February 27th. If you do not receive a notice, you do not have to report to Study Hall. Please check the announcement board outside the Front Office for more info. 

 

Spring Musical Auditions:

Auditions for the all-school spring musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will be on Tuesday, February 24 in the DePauw Theatre, beginning at 3:30 PM.  It has a large cast.  All are invited to audition.  If you would like to see the audition materials in advance, please check with Mr. Lord.  If you would like to know the audition music cuts, please check with Mr. LaCroix.

 

Girls Soccer:

There will be a Girls Soccer parent meeting on Tuesday, February 24th at 6:00 PM in the Cafeteria Commons. Students who are interested in playing this spring are invited to attend. 

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Northside Math Night:

Volunteers are needed at the Northside Math Night on Wednesday, March 4 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  If you are interested in volunteering, please email Ashley Morey at ashley.morey@geneseoschools.org

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Park District:

Volunteer opportunities with the Geneseo Park District are listed on the Announcements Board in the hall outside the Front Office. 

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Food Pantry:

Looking for a place to complete Silver Cord hours? The Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry is in need of volunteers on Monday evenings, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Please contact Nicole at the Food Pantry, 309-944-3165 or email: geneseopantry1@gmail.com

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Henry County Humane Society:

The Henry County Humane Society is looking for volunteers! Earn Silver Cord hours while helping animals in need. Applications are available on the Henry County Humane Society website.
