Silver Cord Opportunity – St. Malachy School:
St. Malachy School is looking for volunteers to assist with set up and decorating on Friday, March 6th for their annual fundraising event. Shifts are available from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm. Take advantage of your day off of school and earn Silver Cord hours! If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Anselmi at hanselmi@geneseoschools.org.
Augustana College Visit:
On Monday, March 9th, Augustana College will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period. If you are interested in meeting with Augustana College, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Prom Guest Forms:
Attention Juniors and Seniors - Prom is scheduled for May 9th. If you would like to bring a guest who is not a current GHS student, please complete the Prom Guest Form and submit it for approval. The deadline to turn in the form is Monday, April 13th. Please read the form carefully to be certain you are aware of the guest requirements. All additional paperwork and verifications must be submitted with the form. The forms, printed on pink paper, are available outside of the Assistant Principals' office.
Spring Sport Pictures:
If you are in a spring sport, please note that Media Day is today. Check in with your coach for your sport's time slot.
Loras College Visit:
On Tuesday, March 10th, Loras College will be visiting Geneseo High School during WIN. If you are interested in meeting with Loras College, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Attention Students:
This is a reminder for students serving discipline. Students will not be allowed to work with a staff member for double time if they are truant for 1 or more class periods. Students that receive truancy referrals can report to lunch detention, Mrs. Scott's room before school, or Mrs. Schnowske’s room after school. Students with truancies can still work on homework with a teacher after school with teacher permission prior to the end of the school day but will not receive credit for double time.
Special Olympics Fundraiser:
Next week we will be collecting money for Special Olympics IL. Keep a look out at lunch for the incentives that both staff and students can earn. Donations can be made during lunch the week of March 9-13.
Foreign Language Club:
Save the date! One of our very own members will be presenting on ASL on Wednesday, March 11th! Hope to see you there! You won’t want to miss it!
