Student Council President Petitions:
Petitions for the 2026-27 Student Council President are now available. Candidates must be a current Junior with one year of Student Council experience. Candidates must acquire 50 signatures and petitions are due by Thursday, April 16. Depending on the number of candidates, there will be time to campaign followed by an All-School election. See Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or Mrs. Brewer in Room 26 to pick up a petition.
Cheer Tryouts:
Interested in trying out for Cheer? Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, April 14th at 3:45 pm. Mandatory clinics will be Tuesday thru Thursday and Final Tryouts will be Friday, April 17th. Please see Mrs. Lavine in the Counseling Office to sign up and for more information.
Travel Abroad Trip:
Exciting news! A new travel abroad trip has been planned for the summer of 2027 and is sure to be an adventure of a lifetime! We will be traveling to Paris, London, and Dublin. There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, April 19th at 4:00 PM in the Library Lobby. See Mrs. Litton in Room 20 with any questions.
AP Students:
Please continue to bring in your AP exam payments to Mrs. Lavine in the Counseling Office. This can be paid by cash or check. Mrs. Lavine will be accepting payment until May 1st.
Prom Guest Forms:
Attention Juniors and Seniors - Prom is scheduled for May 9th. If you would like to bring a guest who is not a current GHS student, please complete the Prom Guest Form and submit it for approval. The deadline to turn in the form is Monday, April 13th. Please read the form carefully to be certain you are aware of the guest requirements. All additional paperwork and verifications must be submitted with the form. The forms, printed on pink paper, are available outside of the Assistant Principals' office.
Algebra 2 Skills Lab:
Mrs. Foraker's Algebra 2 Skills Lab is cancelled for today.
Silver Cord Opportunity – Park District:
Volunteer opportunities with the Geneseo Park District are listed on the Announcements Board in the hall outside the Front Office.
