Student Leadership Week:

In honor of celebrating National Student Leadership Week, remember the quote:

Prom Tickets:

Attention Juniors and Seniors - Prom is just around the corner and your chance to snag a ticket starts the week of April 27. Tickets will be sold in the Main Lobby during the following times: Monday and Tuesday before school 7:30 am - 7:55 am and after school 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, Wednesday before school 7:30 am - 7:55 am and Thursday after school 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm. Cash or Check will be accepted. SENIORS - you are still required to get a ticket during our sales times but the cost of your ticket will be covered by the Class of 2026. 

 

Attention Seniors – Graduation Honors Accessories: 

If you are a member of NHS, NTHS, Illinois State Scholar, earned your Silver Cord, or are entering the military, please stop by the Front Office before or after school or during passing times to pick up your Honors Accessories to wear at graduation.  Please pick a time that works in your schedule because we cannot write passes if you arrive late for your next class. 

 

Study Hall Release:

Study Hall Release will begin for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students on Friday, May 1st. Students who are required to stay will begin receiving notices Monday, April 27th and Tuesday, April 28th. If you do not receive a notice, you do not have to report to Study Hall. Please check the announcement board outside the Front Office for more info. 

 

Musical:

Way, Way, back many centuries ago,” is when the spring musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” takes place. Come see the show and support your classmates and friends.  Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM.  All performances are in the DePauw Theatre at GHS.  All tickets are $15.00.  Reservations are recommended, but any unsold tickets will be available at the door.

 

AP Exam Payment:

AP Exams are coming up. If you have not paid Mrs. Lavine for your exams yet, please bring cash or check to the Counseling Office. All checks can be made out to Geneseo C.U.S.D. These are due by next Friday, May 1st.

 

College Athletic Signing Day:

If you are a senior interested in participating in the College Athletic Signing Day, please stop by the Athletic Office to sign up. Signing Day is April 27th and 28th during WIN. Stop by the Athletic Office for any questions. 

 

Music Festival Queen Pageant:

Information forms for the annual Geneseo Music Festival Queen Pageant are available in the Front Office.  The Geneseo Rotary-sponsored pageant is Friday, June 19 in City Park, and the pageant is open to Geneseo High School graduating seniors.  Scholarships from the Rotary Club will be awarded to the Queen and four runners-up.  Forms will be accepted in the GHS Front Office through Friday, May 22. 

 

Workshop Opportunity:

Are you looking to enhance your mental and physical performance in your sport and activities? Join us for a night of fellowship, community, and growth on May 18th from 6 to 8 pm in the GFAC. Delivered is hosting a workshop open to athletes, students, coaches, and teachers centered on mental health, performance, identity, and purpose. You'll learn practical tools to build confidence, manage pressure, and perform your best when it matters most--whether in competition, practice, off-season, or in-season. Open to all athletes, students, coaches, and teachers--come grow, connect, boost your performance, and take a step toward becoming your best. Silver Cord Opportunity – Park District:

Volunteer opportunities with the Geneseo Park District are listed on the Announcements Board in the hall outside the Front Office. 

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Food Pantry:

Looking for a place to complete Silver Cord hours? The Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry is in need of volunteers on Monday evenings, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Please contact Nicole at the Food Pantry, 309-944-3165 or email: geneseopantry1@gmail.com

 

Silver Cord Opportunity – Henry County Humane Society:

The Henry County Humane Society is looking for volunteers! Earn Silver Cord hours while helping animals in need. Applications are available on the Henry County Humane Society website.
