Class Officer Petitions:
Attention Current Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors: Would you like to be your Class President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer for the 2026-27 school year? Class Officer petitions are now available. Pick one up from Mrs. Laingen in Room 19 or from Mrs. Brewer in Room 26. All petitions need 25 signatures, a signed contract and must be returned by Thursday, May 7. Candidates will be placed on a ballot for a class election. Class officers are members of the Student Council and are expected to fulfill all membership duties.
Foreign Language Club:
Our final meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, May 6th at 3:00 pm in room 3. Remember, we will be taking our yearbook photo at that time, so please arrive on time. If you cannot stay for the whole meeting, please still plan to come for the yearbook photo. If you are staying for the whole meeting, please bring a snack to share with everyone! Hope to see you there! It's been a great year!
Fine Arts Signing Day:
We will have a Fine Arts Signing Day during WIN on May 8 for any seniors that are continuing their involvement in the fine arts at the college level. This includes band, choir, theater, or other performing or visual arts. If you would like to participate, stop by the Assistant Principal’s Office to pick up a form or find the link in your student email from Mrs. Emmerson. The deadline to sign up is today.
Study Hall Release:
Study Hall Release will begin for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students today. Students who are required to stay received notices this week. If you do not receive a notice, you do not have to report to Study Hall. Please check the announcement board outside the Front Office for more info.
GMS Grounds Day:
This Saturday is GMS Grounds Day. Students can work from 9:00 am to Noon at GMS to get double time credit for discipline. Students are to arrive at the GMS main entrance by 9:00 am dressed to work outside. Pizza will be provided for lunch.
Attention Juniors:
If you have Mrs. Ritchie or Mr. Hickerson for English 11, you will report to the Theatre for a presentation during WIN today. Please go directly to the Theatre, we will take attendance in the Theatre.
Music Festival Queen Pageant:
Information forms for the annual Geneseo Music Festival Queen Pageant are available in the Front Office. The Geneseo Rotary-sponsored pageant is Friday, June 19 in City Park, and the pageant is open to Geneseo High School graduating seniors. Scholarships from the Rotary Club will be awarded to the Queen and four runners-up. Forms will be accepted in the GHS Front Office through Friday, May 22.
Workshop Opportunity:

Delivered is hosting a workshop open to athletes, students, coaches, and teachers centered on mental health, performance, identity, and purpose. You'll learn practical tools to build confidence, manage pressure, and perform your best when it matters most--whether in competition, practice, off-season, or in-season.
