September Study Hall Release:
Study Hall Release will begin for Junior and Senior students on Tuesday, September 1st. Students who are required to stay will begin receiving notices Friday, August 28th & Monday, August 31st. If you do not receive a notice, you do not have to report to Study Hall. Please check the announcement board outside the front office for more info.
Art Club:
Attention all students! What did the paintbrush say to the canvas? 'I’ve got you covered!' Looking for a place to unleash your creativity and have some fun? Join the Geneseo High School Art Club! Come draw, paint, and create with us! Our first meeting is Thursday after school from 3:00-4:00 in room 27, Mrs. Degarmo's room! See you Thursday!
Freshman Float:
Attention all Freshman! Do you want to be on the Freshman Homecoming Float Design Committee to help design our class float for the homecoming parade? We will have a meeting on Friday, August 28th at 7:40 a.m. in Mrs. Degarmo's room (room 27). Come with an idea for our freshman class homecoming float!
Student Council:
A reminder to all Student Council members - we will be having a Homecoming planning meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Room 19. Come with your great ideas and ready to work.
Homecoming Ballots:
Attention All Students: Ballots for homecoming court and class attendant nominations were sent to your email from Mrs. Brewer as a google form. Voting will close today at 3:00 p.m.
Gray Matters:
Please join us this Friday for the Gray Matters meeting during WIN in the Theatre. Please check-in with your WIN teachers before coming to the Theatre. We hope to see you there!
Boys Basketball:
Calling all returning boys basketball players and anyone interested in playing boys basketball this winter! There will be a brief boys basketball meeting this Wednesday, August 26, during 7th hour for students with early release or right after school at 3:05 PM in the Main Gym. A make-up meeting will be held Friday before school. This will be a very quick meeting.
Senior Group Picture:
Today during WIN the senior students will be heading out to the football field (gym if raining) for the senior group picture. Senior students should report to WIN for attendance and then come to the location. The picture will be over before WIN is done, so students will return to their WIN room for further attendance and learning center purposes.
Procedures/rules of the picture:
1. All students will stand on the bleachers facing the camera.
2. All students will place their hands behind their backs.
3. All students will follow the directions of the photographer/yearbook advisors/administrators during the process.
4. ANY student not following the rules will receive discipline and will incur costs of editing the picture to remove their misbehavior.
Scholastic Bowl:
Love trivia? Do your friends ever say, “How did you know that?!” Join Scholastic Bowl!! See or email Mrs. Brossman in room 4 or Mrs. Young in room 45 for more information about this fun IHSA extracurricular activity.
Homecoming Guest Forms:
Guest Verification forms for the Homecoming Dance are available outside the Assistant Principals' office or in the Front Office. These will be due to the Assistant Principals' office no later than this Thursday, August 27 at 3:00 pm. There will not be any exceptions to the deadline.
