Homecoming Tickets:
The Mardi Gras Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday, September 12 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the big gym. The last day advance tickets will be sold is tomorrow (Wednesday) before school. All tickets are $10 each and guests must have an advance ticket. Tickets for GHS students will also be sold at the door.
Homecoming Spirit Week Dress-Up Days:
Tuesday, September 8 – Jersey Day
Wednesday, September 9 – Country vs. Country Club
Thursday, September 10 – Generation Day
Seniors dress as Senior Citizens
Juniors dress as Middle Schoolers
Sophomores dress as Toddlers
Freshmen dress as Babies
Friday, September 11 – Spirit Day, Green/White, Team - Club Day

Homecoming Court Elections:
Homecoming Court elections are now open. All students have been emailed a Homecoming ballot from Mrs. Brewer. Please check your email and cast your vote for the 2026 Homecoming Court. The ballots will close at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9. The Homecoming Court will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally which will take place on Thursday evening at the football stadium.
Rock, Paper, Scissors Competition:
GHS get ready to show off your rock, paper, scissors skills in our very own spirit week competition! Students will be given beads and instructions in WIN on Wednesday. Competition will take place Wednesday & Thursday with a final champion crowned at the pep rally on Thursday night. Rules will be posted around school and your WIN teacher will have a copy. The number 1 rule is you cannot compete during class time!
Trap Team Meeting:
There will be a Geneseo Trap Team informational meeting on Sunday, September 13 at 5:00 pm in the Theatre. Anyone interested in being a part of the GHS Trap Team must attend with a parent/guardian. Any schedule conflicts please reach out to rramirez@geneseoschools.org
Robotics Team:
Geneseo High School has a Robotics Team that is just starting their season. They're actively seeking new members to be a part of the team. No experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to try! Do you like building, solving challenges, working as a team, competing against other teams, or learning new skills to add to your resume? Come be a part of Robotics, there is a meeting on Sunday, September 13 6-8 pm here at the high school, room 35 (meet at the front door).
Augustana College Visit:
On Wednesday, September 9, Augustana College will be visiting Geneseo High School during WIN. If you are interested in meeting with Augustana College, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
Western Illinois University Visit:
On Thursday, September 10th, Western Illinois University will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period. If you are interested in meeting with Western Illinois University, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.
