2:00 p.m. Dismissal Today:
This is a reminder that there is a 2:00 p.m. dismissal today so lunch will be 5th period. Make sure you go to the correct lunch listed next to your 5th period class on your schedule. Also, there is no WIN period today and 5th period Study Hall will take place in the Library Lobby.
GHS Student Section:
This is a reminder that only GHS students are allowed in the GHS student section at athletic events - no guests.
After School Detention Today:
Due to the Homecoming parade, there will not be after school detention offered today.
Speech Team:
If you are somebody who is interested in acting or public speaking, then this competitive IHSA activity is for you. GHS Speech Team will be starting in October, but you can stop by the library from 3:15 to 3:45 on Tuesday or Thursday to learn how Speech Team works. See coaches Mrs. Brucher or Mrs. Ritchie if you would like to learn more but are unable to attend either day.
Charity Volleyball Shirts:
Join us for our October 1st Charity Volleyball Match benefiting Foster Hope. Show your support on and off the court by ordering an event t-shirt. All proceeds go directly toward supporting children and families in foster care.

Foreign Language Club:
Our next meeting is on Wednesday, September 16th in room 3 at 3:00 p.m. We will be learning about Mexico's Independence Day, as well as Hispanic Heritage Month. Please bring a snack to share with the group. Hope to see you there!
Trap Team Meeting:
There will be a Geneseo Trap Team informational meeting on Sunday, September 13 at 5:00 p.m. in the Theatre. Anyone interested in being a part of the GHS Trap Team must attend with a parent/guardian. Any schedule conflicts please reach out to rramirez@geneseoschools.org
Robotics Team:
Geneseo High School has a Robotics Team that is just starting their season. They're actively seeking new members to be a part of the team. No experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to try! Do you like building, solving challenges, working as a team, competing against other teams, or learning new skills to add to your resume? Come be a part of Robotics, there is a meeting on Sunday, September 13 6-8 p.m. here at the high school, room 35 (meet at the front door).
Environmental Club:
Do you love to experience, explore, and protect nature? Then come get involved in Environmental Club! Join our canal cleanups and nature trips. We have morning meetings before school on Tuesdays in room 43 with Mrs. VanOpdorp, hope to see you there!
Northern Iowa and Iowa State Visit:
On Tuesday, September 15, the University of Northern Iowa will be visiting Geneseo High School during 6th period, and on Wednesday, September 16, Iowa State University will be visiting Geneseo High School during 7th period. If you are interested in meeting with the University of Northern Iowa or Iowa State, please visit the Counseling Office for more details and to sign up. You must sign up before to obtain a pass, and confirm the visit will be taking place.

Today during lunch in honor of Homecoming the GHS Cafeteria will have a complimentary "Mini Cinnamon King Cake" with a "find the baby hunt". Look under your tray during lunch and look for the "Baby" for a free cookie. There will be 1 random cookie per serving line, per lunch period.
