University of Iowa Visit Today:

University of Iowa will be visiting Geneseo High School today during 7th hour. Please remember to sign up before the visit in the Counseling Office if you would like to speak with U of I's representative, Rachel Hootman.

 

Tabletop Games Club:

There will be Tabletop Games Club on Wednesday after school in Mrs. Davidson’s room, room 10.

 

Radio Club:

Radio Club will meet today at 3:10 p.m. in the Radio Studio.  All students with an interest in radio broadcasting are welcome. 

 

Foreign Language Club:

Attention foreign language club: Our next meeting is Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in room 3. We will be having a short Norwegian lesson. Hope to see you there!


Thespian Society:

The Educational Theatre Association/International Thespian Society is an honorary organization for high school theatre students set up to honor student achievement in the theatre arts.  GHS is affiliated with this organization, and any students involved in the fall play, madrigal, individual events speech and/or the spring musical, in any capacity, are eligible to join this organization.  If you are already involved, or wish more information about this organization, please plan to attend a meeting on Thursday, October 13, 2022, in the DePauw Theatre from 2:15 to 2:45 P.M.  Any questions can be directed to either Mr. DePauw or Mr. Lord.


 Senior Hall of Fame Voting:

Seniors you have been sent an email from Mrs. Anton about Senior Hall of Fame. There are 5 Google Forms to complete to vote your peers into the categories on each form. These Google Forms will close on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.


Pink Out on October 13:

We are going to have a "Pink Out" day to raise and support awareness for breast cancer. Wear pink on Thursday, October 13th.


Parking During Construction:

The parking spaces adjacent to the new Vocational Center, the ones unavailable earlier this week, will also no longer be available for students to park starting on Monday and for the foreseeable future.  Please park in other allowable student parking spaces during construction. 

 

Food Collection Competition for First Period Classes:

Attention First Period Classes, would you like to be the WINNING class?  Next week, beginning on Wednesday, October 12, first period classes will be collecting non-perishable food items in a class competition. The first period class to collect the most food items per capita between October 12 and October 19 will win donuts for their class. Be the class to collect the most food as all donations go to support the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry. Get creative and find ways to donate.
