Geneseo’s retiring educators honored at BOE meeting

Six retiring teachers from across the Geneseo school district were honored at the Board of Education's meeting on Thursday evening:

  • Michelle Craig (3rd Grade/Southwest): 24 years in Illinois

  • Teri Mincks (Instructional Coach/Southwest): 29 years in Illinois and 7 years outside of the state

  • Pat Mitchell (History/GMS): 28 years in Illinois

  • Jon Murray (PE/Health/Driver’s Education/GHS): 32 years in Illinois (not pictured)

  • Kim Rivera (Kindergarten/Millikin): 31.5 years in Illinois

  • Deb Wagner (6th Grade Science/GMS): 24 years in Illinois and 2 years outside of the state

“These six educators have shaped generations of Geneseo’s students,” said Superintendent Dr. Adam Brumbaugh. “Each of them has left an enduring legacy in our schools, far beyond the classroom walls. Their passion, patience, and unwavering commitment to excellence have made a difference in countless lives. On behalf of our entire district, thank you for the years you’ve devoted to lifting up our children and community.”
