Next week is Right to Read Week. To celebrate, the GMS library will hold a Teen Read Cafe before school on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Since we only have space for a limited number of people, students must stop in the library to pick up a free ticket ahead of time in order to participate. See Mrs. Brucher or Mrs. Sager if you have questions.

Attention 7th and 8th grade boys interested in GMS basketball: On Wednesday, you signed up for basketball in PE and health classes. If you missed that sign up or decided you want to go out, please see Mr. Monier. If you signed up but have changed your mind, please see Mr. Monier. In the locker room is our tentative beginning of the year schedule (please read that entire sheet). A full schedule will be given once basketball starts. In addition, there is a sheet with everyone who has signed up with their status of their sports physical showing whether you are Good, if your physical will expire during the season, or no, you don't have one turned in yet and can't practice until you do. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Monier

The Green girls volleyball team played away last night at Jordan and won all three games, 25-10, 25-23, and 15-10. Hayleigh Kent had 7 aces, Addie Snell with 5, and Mollie Parr with 4. Great job girls!

The 8th grade football team traveled to John Deere last night. John Deere grabbed an early 12 to zero lead. Geneseo came back to take a 14 to 12 lead in the third quarter. However, John Deere got another score late to win it 20 to 14.

BUT most of importantly make it yours! We will display your awesome work on the bulletin boards in the hall between 7th and 8th grade starting next week.  Deliver to your homeroom teacher or to Mrs. Miller room 809!

Congratulations to our September Student Athletes of the month: Mark Shoemaker and Jacey Gehl!  Your coaches and teachers recognize all your hardwork and effort on the team and in class.  Way to go!
