Attention 7th and 8th grade boys basketball players: If you signed up or are interested in signing up, we will have a short meeting on Tuesday morning, October 10th from 8:00-8:10 in the large gym. We will pass out the early season schedule, review what to bring to the following Monday's first practice, and update you on the status of your sports physicals. The Geneseo Library Writing Club is meeting this Tuesday, October 10, at the Geneseo Library from 3:30-4:30. Fourth-grade students and up are welcome! We will be exploring some haunted settings from mythology!

The 7th grade whites volleyball team played John Deere last night and lost after three sets. Top servers with Emma Minnaert, Ellie Jackson, and Reese Elmer! The 8th Whites volleyball won all 3 games! Top servers were: Penny Kline and Aleksie Possin!
The 8th grade football team played their final game of the season last night against Galesburg. It was all Galesburg early as they built a 22 to 0 lead, but after a huge second half comeback Geneseo had a chance to take the lead late. Unfortunately the comeback effort fell short and Galesburg won 22 to 20. The guys had a great 8th grade season and it will be exciting to see what they can do as a team in high school.
Today, the cross country team will compete in the IESA Sectional meet on their home course at Richmond Hill. The girls race starts at 3:30 and the boys race starts at 4:15. The teams are hoping to run some personal bests and qualify as a team to compete at the State meet. Please come out and cheer on the cross country team as they vie for a chance to run at State!
