The Geneseo Library Writing Club is meeting this Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Geneseo Library from 3:30-4:30. Fourth grade and up are welcome! So far this year we have written about Heracles from Greek myths and ships made of fingernails from Norse myths. This month we will check out creatures from Egyptian myths!
Mrs. Plant's 8th graders have been working on using sensory details in what Mrs. Plant calls the Three Word Challenge. Students have been voting each day to choose the best three words used to describe: Candy Corn. After a tough bracket, reigning as the first ever Three Word Challenge Champ with "waxy, sugary, mountain" the winner is... Nolan Burton! Congrats, Nolan. Next time we see Candy Corn, maybe we'll notice its waxy texture, sugary taste, and mountainous shape. Tune in next week as students compete to describe Cinnamon Sticks.

Attention NFL Pick Em: Sorry we are a day late here. Our Week 9 had a tie for first with Peyton Wexell and the team of Tatutm Eiselstein and Henry Woodward each scoring 115 points! Congratulations. In the overall standings, Mrs. Henderson is now the top dog and has the bullseye on her back! Good luck to all in Week 10!
Attention Hoops Fans: The Hampton Hawks came to town last night and in the 7B game the Hawks scooped up our Leafs bulking up their winter nest winning 22-9. In 8B action, our Leafs grounded the Hawks flying to a 40-28 victory. The next home game is Thursday. See you there!
