2 days left to donate to the American Heart Challenge! Here’s today’s health fact, brought to you by the American Heart Challenge: Small hearts with big challenges need our help. Nearly 1 in 100 babies are born with a heart defect. Which is why your support of the American Heart Challenge is so important!

Attention Hoop Fans: What a night of action packed basketball! The 7's tipped it off vs. John Deere and avenged their only conference loss of the year and put themselves in great position in the conference standings with a nail biting 37-31 win. In the 8's games, if you've listened to announcements this year you know we play a lot of animals. Jaguars, Eagles, Gators, Wildcats. Well after last night they can add zebras to the list! Our 8's fell behind but never quit. They showed great poise, caught fire, and roared back to take a late lead but unfortunately John Deere was able to force overtime and narrowly escape with the road victory. Good luck to the B's tonight and then both A's and B's will be playing Thursday with our B's being at home. Good luck Lady Leafs!

There were many correct answers submitted to four of last week’s challenge puzzles. Congratulations to these lucky winners whose names were drawn: 6th grader Leo Woodruff logic puzzle, 7th grader JW Seals green Sudoku and 8th grader Aidan Daly blue Sudoku who wrote an equation to solve the gold consecutive numbers puzzle. Please go to Mrs. Wagner’s room 604 after announcements to choose a prize. Because there were no correct answers submitted for the pink sequence number puzzle, a hint will be added to it for next week so those wanting a second chance at it can try it again. Thank you to all who completed a puzzle! This week’s challenges are available in the cafeteria and are due on Friday.

6th grade Choir students should bring a coat to choir today. You will be walking to the high school.
