Attention Hoops Fans: The girls A season came to an end last night and both teams finished on a high note playing some of their best basketball! We traveled to East Moline to take on the Glenview Gators, but it was our Lady Leafs who had the bigger bite! Both 7's and 8's got major contributions from everyone on the teams and everyone in uniform made winning plays. The girls showed great growth throughout the season and we couldn't be prouder. Good things are in store for the girls basketball program in Geneseo! Oh, and speaking of bite, to cap off the season, our girls did some major biting of Chick-Fil-A and Wendy's for a great post game celebration.
The girls basketball B teams had their last game last night. The 7th grade team galloped past the Mustangs to end their season with 7 wins. The 8th grade played point for point with the Morningstar 8th grade team until they rode out ahead for the win. We are so proud of both teams and can’t wait to see what they both do next year as 8th grade and freshmen players!
