It's time for GMS to start reading this spring so that we can choose a new On the Same Page community-wide read in the fall. That means any current 6th or 7th grade reader, even if you didn't participate in OSP this year, can join our new reading team. The first spring meeting is in the library before school tomorrow if you would like to come in and learn all about OSP.

Attention 6th Graders: There will be no Contig Club this week. but we will be starting a new tournament on April 17th. If you would like to be in that tournament, you need to turn in a loose-leaf paper with your team name and the first and last name of all of the players on your team. Only one paper should be turned in per team. You will turn this in outside of Mr. Monier's room on the wall basket. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Henderson or Mr. Monier. Teams are due this Friday, April 12.

The track and field team competed in perfect conditions last night at their home dual meet versus Wilson Middle School.  The 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys and 8th grade girls all won their divisions, and we saw lots of competitors run, jump and throw personal bests.  In addition, one school record was broken last night. Jackson Frank broke his own school record in the 8th grade shot put.  He threw 15.12 meters, or 49 feet 7 inches.  Congrats Jackson and to all the track and field athletes.  Our next meet is the Girls Invite at Moline tomorrow.  Go Leafs!
