Attention 6th and 7th grade students: please check your school Gmail and look for an email from Mrs. Feely that includes a form to choose your elective for next year.  This must be done by the end of the day, Friday, May 16th.

The GMS Yearbook staff will have our end-of-year party on Tuesday, May 13th after school until 4:30pm.  Please inform an advisor if you plan to attend.

Attention all 6th and 7th grade boys and girls!  Do you love to run?  Did you get a good time in the mile in PE this week?  We’re looking for people to join the GMS Cross Country team!

If you are interested in running with the Cross Country team at the beginning of the next school year, please scan one of the QR code posters hanging in the hallway to sign up.  You can also find the link to the sign up form on the “Coming up: Athletics and Extracurriculars” page on the Geneseo Schools website or in the email sent to you earlier this week.  If you have any questions about Cross Country or are having trouble accessing the form, please contact Mrs. Gillespie in room 802 or Mrs. Henderson in room 605.

Hey GMS students — just a reminder, that there are 54 hidden pictures of Mrs. Wagner and Mr. Mitchell around GMS — one for every year they’ve taught!  If you find a picture, turn it in to Officer Marquez or a lunch supervisor during lunch to receive your prize.  Let’s celebrate these amazing teachers and the countless lives they’ve impacted.
Happy retirement, Mrs. Wagner and Mr. Mitchell!

Congratulations to the GMS Track and Field team on an outstanding performance at the Heartland Conference Championships last night. The 7th grade girls team, 8th grade girls team and 7th grade boys team all are conference champions!  The 8th grade boys team are conference runner ups. The team set many personal records last night, and we had two school records broken as well, both by Jett Znamenacek. Jett broke his own school record in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.33 seconds.  Then in the 200 meter dash, Jett broke a record that has stood since 1980!!  Jett had an amazing time of 23.91 seconds in the 200. Congratulations to everyone on the track and field team.  The Leafs next compete at the Dixon Invitational on Saturday. The library will NOT be open before school on Friday. Students will not be able to visit the library until 1st period on Friday.
