May is Mental Health Awareness month.  Today’s tip is to take care of your physical health.  Our physical health, which includes: our diet, sleep, and physical activity, all affect our mental health too. Take an honest look at your physical health and set a goal to improve one area of your physical health.  With time, this will help your mental health as well.

Congratulations to the GMS Track and Field team on an outstanding performance at the Dixon Invitational on Saturday.  There were many activities happening on Saturday, so we had lots of athletes that had to step up and compete in events they don't normally do, and we still pulled off the win!  7th grade girls, 8th grade girls, 7th grade boys and 8th grade boys all won their divisions.  In addition, Jaela Minnaert broke the 7th grade girls pole vault record with a vault of 8 feet 6 inches.  Also, earlier this year, we missed announcing that Cameron Proehl broke the 8th grade boys long jump record with a jump of 18 feet 9 and a half inches!  Congrats to both Jaela and Cameron on their record breaking performances, and congrats to the entire team on an amazing showing on Saturday.

The Leafs next compete at home in the IESA Sectional meet on Saturday.  Go Leafs!

Students who are attending College for Kids and need transportation are welcome to pick up a Pink's bus form in the counseling office.
