Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!
Do you like to talk, act, or tell stories? If so, the Middle School Speech Team is the perfect fit for you! On the Speech Team, you’ll build confidence, improve your acting and storytelling skills, and make new friends along the way. No experience is needed—we’ll help you learn everything you need to know. If you want to join, please attend our first meeting on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:45am in the Large Group Room. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Haars, Mrs. Schmidt, or Ms. Bush. And don’t forget—you can find more information on the flyer posted on the bulletin board in the main hallway. One important note: You MUST be available to attend the Speech Contest on Friday, October 24th. This is the same night as the 7th and 8th grade dance, so plan ahead.
The GMS office has sporting event passes for sale. Student passes are $10 and adult passes are $20. Passes are good for middle school sporting events throughout the school year, not including IESA sanctioned events.

Samantha Minnaert Yocum and Mara Castro combined for the shutout in the circle. At the plate, Elia Patikowski and Sophia Gluck each tallied three hits, while Charley Spindel crushed two doubles to lead the offense. The girls are 4-0 on the season, with earlier wins over Mercer County, Logan Princeton, and East Peoria Central. Tomorrow the team has a double header at home vs Canton at 10am.
