Congrats to the 7th Grade September student of the month recipients. From House 7-1, Connor Schaaf and Gwen Grimes. From House 7-2 Sam Minnaert-Yocum and Freddy Wachtel. Your teachers appreciate the positive attitude, kindness, and respect you have shown in the first months of school. Keep it up!
The library will be hosting a Teen Read Cafe before school on Wednesday, Oct. 1. We will have donuts and talk about your right to read. The number of free tickets is limited, so you must pick up a ticket in the library this week if you want to attend. See Mrs. Brucher or Mrs. Sager if you have any questions.
The On the Same Page reading team will meet in the library before school tomorrow. We will have our first elimination vote of the year so make sure you get here to vote for your favorite books. New readers are still welcome to join this year's OSP team.
Last night the 7th grade Greens watched as Riverdale floated back home with a loss. We took 2 of 3 games but it was rough waters for awhile. Helping the team drift in with the win were serves from Gwen Grimes 6 Aces, Aaliyah Medina 3 Aces , Amelia Shannon 2 Aces. Shae Robertson and Lilah Ruby made some big splashes with their digs to help set up some splashing assists from Gwen and Savanna DeSplinter to allow our hitters Aaliyah, Beau Bomleny and Amelia dive deep and get some kills! After riding the wave last night, let’s see if we can continue. Come watch us WASH up Washington at home tonight!
The 8th grade greens Volleyball team played Riverdale at home and lost in two close sets, 17-25 and 18-25. Alivia Gaines led the team with 7 aces and 7 attacks, Mylee Sims and Jaela Minnaert both had 6 digs each, and Aislyn Kane had 7 assists. Good luck at home again tonight against Washington girls!
The 7th Grade Whites Volleyball team travelled to Glenview last night and came away with a win in three sets! The team had great plays, saves, and were on fire with their serves! Top servers were Aubrey DeGrave with 11 aces, Aubrey Seals with 5, and Hannah DeJohn with 4! Great job girls! Wish them luck as they travel to play Washington on Wednesday.
