Attention 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing GMS basketball. Our season will tip off with practices beginning Tuesday, October 14th. You can sign up this week in your PE and Health classes, In order to practice, you must have a sports physical on file here at GMS. You will also need a separate pair of basketball only shoes. There is an early season schedule posted in the boys locker room. If you have any questions, please see Coach Monier in room #602. Go Leafs!
The next GMS yearbook staff meeting is Tuesday, September 30th after school until 4:30pm. Please try to attend this important meeting. If you cannot attend, please let a yearbook advisor know.
The 8th grade football team had another exciting finish this week against Washington. They came up with a big defensive stop to give the offense the ball back with two minutes left. After a big pass play, they scored and got the two point conversion. The game ended in a 14 to 14 tie. Next week they play two away games at John Deere and Yorkville.
Last night Wilson walked away with the win from our 7th grade volleyball Greens. Our team play is so amazing and we are literally points away from winning! Key take-aways are great serves from Lilah, Gwen, Charley, and Aaliyah with some Aces! Also some great digs by Shae and Lilah with Aaliyah getting a couple awesome attacks at the net! Keep playing hard Greens and the WINS will happen next week!
