Students interested in learning about GMS Chess Club should plan to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, October 22nd in the library from 3:15-4:00. Practices begin on Tuesday, October 28th.
On Saturday, the Leafs competed in the Dunlap Sectional, for a chance to qualify for State. It was a perfect day to run - almost every runner ran a personal record! Our girls team placed 5th, which was much higher than their original ranking! A big congratulations to our boys team for WINNING Sectionals with an incredible score of just 40 points!! Medaling for the boys were Drake Burton (9th), Henry Woodward (5th), Kyle Wirth (4th), and Will Ehlert (3rd). The boys will travel to Normal on Saturday, with hopes of bringing home a team trophy! Congratulations to all of our runners on an amazing day - we are proud of you!
