Attention Hoops Fans: It was our final home game here at GMS and both 7As and 8As went out with a bang. 7As continue playing their best basketball of the year and left no doubt beating Seton 35-14. 8As, in their final home game of their career at GMS put on a clinic. They dominated from start to finish and put a running clock on the visiting Seton Chargers. All players were able to play big minutes and make big contributions. Way to go out in style here at GMS 8th graders! Next up, the last game of the year, Thursday at Glenview. Then after that, ALL boys basketball players and managers are welcome to attend the end of the year team breakfast in the Large Group Room Friday morning anytime after 7:30 AM. Go Leafs!
Congratulations to our December Student Athletes of the month: Audrey DeGrave and Declan Gillespie! Your coaches and teachers recognize all your hard work and effort on the team and in class! Everyone at GMS is proud of you! Way to go!

Last night, the Wrestling team traveled to Mercer County to take on the Golden Eagles and Galesburg Streaks. Both duals would be back-and-forth contests that would go down to the last match, but the Leafs would fall short. The team fought hard and showed a lot of excitement as many wrestlers secured their first win, including Brooks Kennedy, Kael Binder, Leo Woodruff, Grant Nelson, Jack Schaaf, Preston Snell, Wyatt Murray, Tommie Bess, and Gavin Tiffenbeck. Come out and support the team tonight as they take on the Jr. Pioneers.
