Attention Hoops Fans: We had 3 games last night. Our A teams traveled to Rock Island to take on the Washington Warriors. Both our 7A and 8A teams took command from the opening tip racing out to fast starts and finishing with BIG wins. Our 8Bs hit the road as well to QC Christian where we battled tough, a tight, defensive game but it was the Eagles who were able to soar to victory. Tonight, our 7B and 8B teams play here at home. Go Lady Leafs!
Last night, the wrestling team traveled to Wilson to take on the Wildcats. The Leafs came out strong and never looked back, earning a decisive 56–27 victory. The Leafs picked up several quick pins and kept the pressure on all night, never allowing the Wildcats to close the gap. Great job and good luck tonight at United.
Student Council. There will be no Student Council committee meetings before school on Monday, January 26.

Attention 8th graders- The High School counselors will be at GMS during 3rd hour to discuss choosing your electives for your freshman year today. Students with last names A through G will be in the small gym, students with last names H through P will be in the cafeteria, and students with last names Q through Z will be in the main gym. This is the last week to purchase a GMS yearbook. Don't wait and wish you had purchased one. Order online through your Skyward account or pick up an order form in the main office. All orders must be placed by this Friday, January 23rd.
Swim Team. Anyone interested in being a part of the Geneseo Middle School swim team should grab a flyer at the main office. Practices and meets will start on Monday February 9 and run through Thursday March 12.
Favorite Teacher Contest. Have you submitted your favorite teacher to the WQAD-Channel 8 “My Favorite Teacher” contest yet? Submission information is located at the Main Office. The deadline for submissions is February 5th.
