7th & 8th Graders: Student Council is looking for energetic people who like to plan school spirit and service activities for GMS. To be in Student Council you must be able to attend meetings on Mondays before school. If you would like to represent your first period class, you can pick up an application in the library or print one from the GMS Student Council website. Ask Mrs. Brucher, Mrs. Strohm, or your first period teacher if you have any questions.
Birthday Club: We are excited to announce that Birthday Club started on the very first day of school! Our goal is to make sure every student feels celebrated on their special day. If you have a summer birthday, we’ll celebrate you on your half birthday. If your birthday falls on a weekend or school break, we’ll decorate your locker ahead of time. Please leave your decorations up as B-day Club is in charge of taking them down the next day. Our Birthday Club is currently full, but we want to make sure we don’t miss anyone! If your locker isn’t decorated when it should be, please let your homeroom teacher know. And staff, don’t worry—we’ll be celebrating you, too! We hope Birthday Club helps make your birthday a little extra special.
8th Graders – Are you interested in being a morning announcement reader? Stop in the Main Office before school and talk to Mrs. Stone for more information and to audition.
