Volleyball Greens:
The Geneseo 8th Grade Greens picked up their first win of the season, defeating Seton 2 sets to 0, 25-23 and 26-24! Both sets came down to the wire, but the Greens battled hard and showed great teamwork, with everyone contributing to the victory.
Aubrey DeGrave led from the service line with 6 aces and added an impressive 11 assists. Hannah DeJohn and Aaliyah Medina each recorded 3 successful attacks, while Emmy Williamson and Beau Bomleny added 2 apiece. Emmy also came up with a block at the net. Hadleigh Mendoza led the defense with 3 digs, while Chuck Spindel, Parker Wilcox-Smith, Hannah, Hallie Elmer, and Aaliyah each added a dig. Parker also contributed 3 assists and Chuck Spindel clutched the game winning point with a successful back row attack. It was a true team win, with the Greens staying composed through two close sets, playing well together, and continuing to show improvement. A great way to earn win #1 of the season!
BE AGGRESSIVE! That's what the 7th grade Green team brought out against Seton, unfortunately it didn't transfer into a win this time. BUT They were digging machines all over the court, Morgan Bomley had 8 diggs with 2 ace serves, Anna Carlson had 6 digs with 2 ace serves! Rylee Wagle had 3 digs and 3 ace serves, Breckyn Granell had 2 digs, Eden Ebert had a dig and an ace serve, Molly Dye had an Attack at the net and Chloe Schoonover had a dig! Aggressiveness was just one more step in the right direction to bring home the "W"! Keep your heads up and moving forward Greens!

Volleyball Whites:
7th grade fought hard against Colona. They fell short in the first two, but won the third. Emmy Timmerman and Ivery Hull kept the serving up!
8th fought hard against Colona as well! They were so close in the first, lost the second, and won the third. Sam Minnaert had great serves and defense. Henley Circcione had awesome touches on the ball.

FCA
Attention, GMS students! Are you interested in FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes? FCA is for all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! We will meet before school on Tuesday mornings at 7:35 in the Small Gym by the office. We’ll talk about faith, play games, and have fun together! FCA starts Tuesday, September 8th. If you have morning sports, come when you’re finished! If you’re running late, just come when you can! We hope to see you there and bring a friend!
