Softball. The Geneseo Middle School Softball team made history this season. This is the 5th year of middle school softball, and our first state appearance. On Friday, after numerous rain delays, they finally played their 3:30 game at 8:00pm versus the Effingham Mustangs and won 9-2. After getting home close to 1:00am, the girls caught the bus at 7:30am to head back to Normal. They lost to the Olympia Spartans 7-14, and lost to Frankfort Hickory Creek 3-8 in the 3rd place game. GMS ended their season with a record of 13-2. They ended up finishing 4th in the State for Class 3A. We are proud of you! Way to Go LEAFS!

Boys Basketball. Attention 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing GMS basketball. With the fall sport seasons winding down, that means the winter sports are coming up! Boys basketball will begin the week of October 12. We will get more information to you at the beginning of October.
