October 5:
Attention 7th and 8th Grade Boys: Last week in PE you signed up for basketball. Our practices begin Monday, October 17. If you wanted to sign up but were unable, please see Mr. Monier. Also, remember to be staying on top of your grades. To be eligible, you must be passing all of your classes. Last year, about 75% of you who signed up do not have an updated physical on file. You must turn in a physical to the office before you are able to practice. If this is you, you will be given a physical form from one of your teachers. Builders Club will meet Friday morning at 7:40 in the Large Group Room. If you are interested in joining Builders Club, join us at our meeting Friday morning or see Mrs. Herlyn for information.
The GMS Dance for 7th and 8th graders will be held on Friday, October 14th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Here are a few things you need to know before you attend:
The GMS dress code will apply. If you wouldn’t wear it to school, you probably shouldn’t wear it to the dance. Check the GMS handbook for details.
All disciplinary time must be served.
All registration fees must be paid. Check with your parents about this.
Students need to arrive by 7:30 pm and stay until at least 8:45 pm
The admission cost is $5.00. Pop is available for 50 cents.
The 8th Grade Whitels volleyball beat Washington Middle School in 3 games. Top servers were Mia Balensifen with 6 aces and 15 points! Vi Pettit 4 aces and 14 points!
