December 19:

Any 8th grade student interested in competing in this year’s Spelling Bee should see Mrs. Plant or Mrs. Francque today to sign up.

Have you purchased a GMS yearbook yet?  It's not too late, but time is running out.  Pick up an order form at the office window or purchase one online through your Skyward account.

Please check the lost and found currently located in the cafeteria by next Wednesday.  After that, Items will be donated to Goodwill.

Are you a skier, snowboarder, or ice skater? Show off your stylish winter sports gear on Tuesday.

The next GMS yearbook staff meeting is tomorrow after school until 4:30pm.  Please plan to attend and let an advisor know if you will not be there.

We had some awesome looking Gingerbread in the cafeteria this past week and you have voted for your favorites. All together, we raised $128.67 for the Henry County Humane Society. The homerooms that collected the most votes are 8th Grade Mrs. Plant's Light-up Cat, 7th Grade Mrs. Haars' Bill Nye the Gingerbread Guy, and 6th Grade Mrs. DePauw's King Gingeroh. Congratulations to the winning homerooms!

Congratulations to the homeroom winners of the Builders Club Winter Food and Clothing Drive. The sixth grade winner is Mrs. Herlyn's homeroom with 381 items. The seventh grade winner is Mrs. Schmidt's homeroom with 311 items. The eighth grade winner is Mrs. Strohm's homeroom with 108 items. The winning homerooms will each receive a gift card for $50 to a location of their choosing. Thanks again to all GMS students who donated items for the Food Pantry. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

6th grade band students should bring their band binder, a pencil, and a book to read today and Wednesday. You will need your instruments tomorrow for rehearsal.
