The next GMS Yearbook staff meeting will be today after school until 4:30pm. Please inform an advisor if you cannot attend.
Attention all 8th grade students: Please remember to schedule your classes for High School into Skyward by Wednesday. If you have any questions, please contact the counseling department.
On Monday, March 6th, On the Same Page will be hosting a Skype visit with Allison Varnes, the author of Property of the Rebel Librarian. Since this will happen in the large group room during ASAP, there will be a limited number of seats available. If you would like to be entered into a raffle to get a ticket to the Skype event, you need to read the book and fill out a Google form that you can find on the GMS library homepage. See Mrs. Brucher or Mrs. Sager if you have any questions.
Do you want to surprise a friend? Do you have a Valentine? The School Store will be selling Valentine Grams before school all week in the cafeteria. They are 25 cents each and include a sticker. The proceeds will go to The Gray Matters Collective.
Attention all 7th and 8th grade students! Track and Field season is starting soon! If you are interested in joining the track and field team, check your email. Congratulations to the following 8th grade House 1 S.T.R.I.P.E.S award winners for the month of February: Sydney Rosas, Reid Simpson, Keaton Ariano. These students display qualities of service, tenacity, respect, involvement, perseverance, enthusiasm, and spirit. Your teachers appreciate your efforts to continuously carry out GMS's mission by displaying these qualities. Keep up the GRRREAT work!
This weekend the girls basketball 7th grade B team went to Sterling and competed in a tournament against some really good competition. They went 1-2, playing our best game of the season so far against DeKalb to end the day. Keeping the momentum going, the combined 7/8 grade B team took a tour of the Iowa side to play Morningstar Academy. Although we came up short by 4 points the team gave their best effort and were able to translate some of the skills they learned over the weekend into tonight’s game. The two teams travel to Morrison on Wednesday!
