Dear Southwest Parents and Students,
It’s hard to believe that November is already upon us! There are many exciting things happening at Southwest as we move into the second quarter.
One special event I’d like to highlight is our Veterans Day Honor Lap—our way of recognizing and celebrating those who have served in the armed forces. All veterans are invited to attend. Donuts and coffee will be available in the Southwest gym prior to the Honor Lap. Additional details can be found below.
As the temperatures begin to drop, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. We will continue to go outside for recess unless the “feels like” temperature falls below 10 degrees. If your child is in need of winter clothing, please reach out to our school social worker, Julia Stevens, at jstevens@hscsed.org.
