Dear Southwest Parents and Students,
We are thrilled to welcome everyone back for the 2026–2027 school year! It’s going to be a fantastic year of learning, growth, and connection for our students and the entire Geneseo School Community. We can’t wait to partner with you as we make each day meaningful and memorable.
Over the summer, our incredible custodial and maintenance team worked hard to get the building in top shape—please join us in thanking them for all they do! We’re also excited to welcome several new students and staff members to our Southwest family this year. We'll be introducing them at our Opening Day Assembly.
Please take a few moments to review the important links included in this newsletter. They contain helpful details about procedures, routines, and schedules to help make the start of the school year as smooth as possible.
Classroom assignments for students in grades 1–5 will be finalized and available in Family Access starting Wednesday, August 5th at 4:00 p.m.
We look forward to seeing Kindergarten parents at Orientation on August 4th at 6:00 p.m. here at Southwest. (Please note that orientation is for parents only.) And don’t forget our Back-to-School Open House for all students and families, scheduled for Monday, August 10th from 4:00–6:00 p.m.
