Geneseo High School is looking for a new head coach to lead its varsity boys' basketball team.
The search comes with Ryan Hill, who served as head coach the last two seasons, moving on to work for another school district.
“We thank Coach Hill for the two years he was part of the Geneseo community,” said Joe Nichols, Athletic Director. “Due to his resignation, we are seeking a leader who will motivate and inspire our student-athletes both on and off the court. Our ideal candidate is a coach who will be passionate about developing our young men into the best version of themselves while continuing to energize our program.”
In addition to the high school’s main gym—which was updated with a new floor in 2024—the basketball teams train in the Geneseo Foundation Activity Center, a 40,000-square-foot fieldhouse with an expansive weight room, three basketball courts, and a full-time strength and conditioning coach.
Geneseo competes in the Western Big 6 Conference, making the head coaching role both a challenge and an opportunity for someone ready to make their mark.
“Geneseo High School has a strong tradition of athletic excellence and we’re very fortunate to live in a community that really gets behind its teams,” said Nichols. “We recognize the challenges of this position and are committed to providing our new coach with every opportunity to succeed.”

NOTE: The basketball program's Youth Basketball Summer Camp for 3rd through 8th grade boys from July 8-10 will take place as planned. Any questions can be directed to Josh Spensley at josh@cdford.com.
