Congratulations to Mrs. Snodgrass, the most recent recipient of a Maple Leaf Medallion at Millikin! Mrs. Snodgrass goes above and beyond for the students of Millikin. Not only is she an intuitive and compassionate instructor, but she is also our "utility infielder" playing so many important roles for our building. Congratulations!!


With severe weather expected this afternoon and evening, there will be no after school activities, practices or SAFE on April 16. Thank you and stay safe!


GMS 6th grade social studies students spent time role-playing what it was like to be in the Senate during Ancient Rome. They learned about and practiced "bribing" other senate members during their simulations in order to feed their poor citizens, made plans to invade Gaul and other new or disputed territories, and debated whether they should or would build new infrastructure like aqueducts or roads.








Congratulations to the Northside Students of the Month. We are so proud of these students for their hard work, positive attitude, and kindness towards others. They truly are great leaders. We will celebrate them at our Student of the Month Breakfast on May 17th at 7:30 AM.


Geneseo Middle School principal Nate O'Dell recognized five students at Thursday's Board of Education meeting for their leadership, making a positive impact at GMS, and winning a variety of awards.
Congratulations to Jacey Gehl (IESA Scholar Award), Luca Turigliatti (DAR Award), Alivia Brown (IPA Student Leader Award), Jaxson Seals (IPA Student Leader Award) and Quinn Cherry (DAR Award), all of whom also received a Maple Leaf Medallion!


2024 GHS Prom will be held on Saturday, May 11 at the Quad City Botanical Center.


GHS Key Club and Kiwanis members were able to make 122 toiletry bags. The bags will be distributed to the social workers, Braveheart in Cambridge, and homeless shelters in the Quad Cities. Thank you to Sawyer Rahmus and Kim Anderson for coordinating the event.


A huge THANK YOU to our middle school Family-Consumer Science students for making the trip to Northside to hang out with our preschool friends. Our students definitely loved having you here with us.





Highlights of Geneseo Girls Soccer dominating 7-0 win over Sterling. Goals by Ava DeSplinter, Hanna Kreiner, Mia Kelly, Addison Espe and several assists by Katelyn Seaman helped the rout.


Congratulations to Lillian Bellagamba and Gavin Gillespie, GMS Rotary Students of the Month. Lillian and Gavin are two phenomenal young leaders. They have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Leadership, Effort, Accountability and Focus, LEAF Skills!



Third grade students took part in Market Day last week. Students created goods, advertised, and sold their products to other students. Everything from book marks to paper airplanes to pet rocks were sold. Students learned a lot about basic economics and had a blast.

Preschool is having a great time doing arts and crafts and using their creative brains. Hands on activities are great for our young minds.
